day 3
This weekend we're doing a promotion with James and Tamaki and Alina for their English school, Rivercity. Basically today we set up a stall outside a shopping mall and played hopscotch with passersby. we made all these signs and stuff yesterday, and its been pretty fun, the japanese kids are cute and shy in equal amounts. it is a great place to check people out.
We all went to Ginza on bikes yesterday and i bought so much technology i cant really talk about it yet, frightened to check my bank balance, etc. but i do have a brand new iBook, which is really cute and will no doubt come in handy. Apparently there are hotspots everywhere where you can get free wireless internet (just like wooloomooloo, cliffy), but not in this building, apparently. so im at Rivercity at the moment, which is the floor below our apartment, trying to stay up late cause i keep waking up at 5am and am tuckered out by 11. the boys are out drinking, they have a new best friend in a vending machine up the road which feeds them 600ml asahi for $3. I found a great swimming pool just down the block so chances are ill be swimming by 6am tomorrow.
Im listening to 'there's no such place' by augie march, and it is really peaceful.
god, been meaning to put up a photo of alina too, my niece, she is just incredible - 6 and she speaks 21/2 languages and is one of those people who is just good at everything. her favourite colour is purple and her favourite number is three. i played her three is the magic number yesterday and she already knows it just about by heart.
night.
x
